These past couple of months, it seems that warfare has continued to increase. The Body of Christ has been dealing with so many attacks, but we understand that it is the nature of God to use everything for a purpose. In the book of Job, we see that it is the Lord who actually pointed out Job to Satan as the enemy was roaming to and fro in the earth, lurking like a lion seeing whom he could devour (1 Peter 5:8). This is because the Lord knew Job’s faithfulness. He knew that He was getting ready to bless Job double-fold. The Lord knew that Job would prevail against the enemy and show him up. You have to understand that warfare is always going to increase when the Lord is getting ready to do something big. Whether it be blessing, breakthrough, deliverance, transition… When the Lord is about to move mightily in your life, the enemy cannot do anything to stop it, he can only make you delay it. The way in which he can make you delay it is by making you speak curses over your life. Remember the Israelites, they prolonged their journey by complaining about their circumstance, and rather than praising God for taking them out of Egypt, they remained in their flesh and consistently reminisced in on the past.

Continue to remind yourself that the God you serve sits outside of time and space so if you are wondering why God is allowing you to go through something, remind yourself that the Lord is using it to test your faith, refine you, and reveal some things to you in order for the blessings to take it’s place.

The Book of Job has so many gems. It teaches us about the ways of God and even the ways of the enemy. Notice how the Lord allowed for a great shaking in Job’s life (just as Hebrews 12 mentions) and the only thing that was stable in Job’s life was his faith in God. The Lord told the enemy that He could do whatever He pleased, but to spare Job’s life. The Lord had to ensure that Job was ready for the blessing that He was about to bestow upon Him. In the Book of Job, we also become familiar with the enemy’s tactics. We see that ultimately, the enemy tried to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10) Job’s love and faith in God. When he saw that Job had great faith in God, the enemy tried to use people around him to convince Job to curse God. This is why it’s so important to be meditating on God’s word. Cancel out the lies of the enemy whether they be from internal or external voices with the TRUTH! Remind yourself of God’s goodness. Remind yourself that God will never leave nor forsake you. When times get rough, instead of dwelling in the flesh and in your feelings, change your perspective. Ask yourself what God is trying to do. Pray to the Lord to give you His vision. Remember that you are seated in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

We understand that we do not go through suffering in vain. Suffering actually draws us nearer to Him, while reminding us to keep on the helmet of salvation. These things that we suffer now cannot compare to the glory that shall be revealed in us later (Romans 8:18). Remember that all things work together for the GOOD of those who LOVE the Lord and are CALLED according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). We have to remember that God’s ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8). Continue to persevere. Know that the Lord has plans to prosper you, not to harm you (Jeremiah 29:11). In life you will go through tribulation, but take heart, for Jesus Christ has overcome the world (John 16:33)
